Where to spend an awesome day with your furry friends

Dining outside with your pet in Dubai was almost impossible, but the overall attitude is getting more relaxed and pet-friendly. As today is Dog Appreciation Day, we embarked on a quest to discover places where you and your canine pal can spend some quality time together and this is our selection. 

So, it’s time to take your dog out for a treat and spoil them rotten! You can’t just give them any old treat today, right? 

Chicago Meatpackers

This very trendy industrial-style steakhouse is the go-to place for all the coolest dogs in town. Offering USDA-certified steaks and burgers, you’ll find the food delicious. It also offers customers a 15% discount for bringing their dog along, so don’t forget to ask for the special menu just for your dog (you might still have to order for them though)! If you wake up on a Friday and you and your dog are feeling ravenous, then you need to head out to Chicago Meatpackers American-style brunch. Free-flowing drinks, stacks of pancakes, chicken and waffles, even short-rib eggs benedict are available in abundance – what more can you desire? The best part is, the brunch is open from 11 am to 3 pm! 

Cassette

This is an absolutely fab breakfast spot, a firm favourite for families, especially as kids love to play with all the dogs that frequent this place. It is perfect for a spot to eat after your morning walk with your furry friend. They are serving all the classics such as eggs benedict and French toast, alongside some exciting twists, like the savoury waffle confit. It also has a great indoor courtyard which welcomes the entire family, including your beloved pet. This is an amazing solution in the hotter months. Finally, this trendy and stylish restaurant serves a perfect backdrop for your Instagram photos with you and your dog!

Breeze Beach Bar & Grill

This “beach shack”  is perfect for when you need a bite after spending the day at the beach. With wood-panelled furniture and surfboards decorating the walls, this is a very cool spot. This is the place for you and your pooch to take in the sun and relax. Don’t forget to check out their Shackfest Brunch, which serves an excellent barbeque with house beverages for just AED285. 

Moto

This cafe-cum-motorbike repair shop is excellent for petrolheads and animals alike. Situated in the heart of Al Quoz,  this warehouse is a very cool place to be. Be sure to check out the art gallery, which features work from local artists. This place also puts a big emphasis on community, hosting an array of events throughout the year, such as “One Man’s Trash’ market where musicians and bikers can go and swap their old parts. There is also a live music event happening each week, which is great to have a bit of a party!

KAVE

KAVE is a unique café concept in Al Quoz that focuses on upcycling and ensuring they make as little waste as possible. You can eat here with a completely clear conscience as they ensure that all of their products are ethically sourced and as environmentally friendly as possible. Here you don’t just sit down and have a coffee, but you can learn how the things you consume are made. You should definitely visit one of the many events they hold, which include art exhibitions and workshops. This is definitely a fascinating place for you and your dog to visit, plus you can enjoy all of this indoors. 

Reform Social & Grill

This always-packed restaurant is not only family-friendly but also welcomes all kinds of pets, especially dogs. If you are looking to expand your family with a four-legged family member, you can visit one of their dog adoption days! During the winter, dogs can run around a very spacious garden or enjoy a meal next to you. When it comes to food, you shouldn’t forget to get something for your furry friend from a special dog menu! As for humans, they have everything, from a full English breakfast to a traditional weekend roast – this gastropub serves the best British food!
