To make our final selection of the best residential areas in Abu Dhabi, we actually analysed the latest market sales figures across communities. If we just look at the data from the previous quarter, we can see that Abu Dhabi has recorded a whopping AED 11.5 billion ($3.1 billion) in real estate transactions, according to the Department of Municipalities and Transport. This value has been accumulated across 3,847 lands, buildings, and unit deals.

Here is our selection of the most desirable communities in Abu Dhabi based on the total sales numbers.

1. Al Reem Island

The top of the list is Al Reem Island, which had the highest total sales of AED 1.6 billion followed by Abu Dhabi Island in the first quarter of 2021. Al Reem Island is a fulfilling and premium cosmopolitan community surrounded by nature. 2. Yas Island

Yas Island, one of Abu Dhabi’s most popular communities, came in third in terms of total sales, with AED649 million. A haven for large and high-end villas, premium residential lands, and resort-style apartments, surely a great place to live for all types of families because it is conveniently located near a hub of 360-degree world-class entertainment, theme parks and malls, top-branded hotels, schools, hospitals and stores,  pristine white sand beach, and there are many exciting new projects on the way.

Saadiyat Island came in next on the line with an overall total real estate sales transaction of AED446 million. Saadiyat Island is the address for ultra-luxurious beachfront apartments and top-of-the-line beach estate villas.

Saadiyat Island has been transformed into a world-class leisure, residential, business, and cultural hub. It is home to the world’s largest single concentration of premier cultural assets, including the Louvre Abu Dhabi, and will eventually include the Zayed National Museum and the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi.

4. Al Raha Beach
