As announced by DEWA, the registered users can have their car charge for free at any of the 100 installed electric stations in Dubai. With the collaboration of RTA, all the electric vehicles will be exempted from parking fee and Salik. This move came as an initiative to reduce carbon emissions and preserve a maximum of petroleum for exports–Dubai expects to have 32,000 cars on the roads by 2020 and 42,000 by 2030.
